Rail Infotech Services
Rail Infotech Services is one of the major project hubs of SRWWO. Most computerization processes in the department are initiated and developed through this center. It was inaugurated on 10 December 1993.
Inplant Training & Internship
The center coordinates in-plant training programs for engineering students from Madurai and various other colleges across India.
More than 2000 students from BE, ME, MCA, and MSc streams have completed training during summer and winter vacations.
Training includes seminars by experts from the IT and Telecommunication industry along with Railway department field visits, where officers and technical experts share practical knowledge.
Academic Projects
Through Railnet, students are guided in developing academic projects that support the ongoing computerization process of Southern Railway, Madurai Division.
Intranet & IT Department Services
Several intranet and IT-based solutions for Railways are implemented through this center. Railnet has become a landmark among the college community in Madurai because of its quality training and practical exposure.
